How much does one pay for the privilege of reading used books with others’ greasy fingerprints?

The cheapest plan starts at $20 per month!!! Hehe…The “recommended best value plan” is $36/month.

BookSwim has stated its goal is to rent 1,000,000 books by 2010! I’ll be very very impressed if they make it with a zero or two chopped off.

Smugglers Music allows bands/musicians to upload music to sell and list gigs and sell to the flocks of people looking for unsigned artists. Just like MP3.com and a zillion others started doing 10 years ago. So why is this “beta” launching now? That’s what I’ve been asking myself. I’m looking for something that differentiates them and there ain’t much. I predict they’ll be gone in a 366 days.Rating:

Just what we need. Another social network/community that called ____space.com. I’m sure it’s going to be wildly successful.In this case, they claim to be differentiated by giving you “the freedom you’ve never had before with social networking.” I’m not sure what that means, but I wish them the best of luck.Rating:  

GarageSalesNation was created to aggregate garage sale locations & information in a centralized site. No more aimless wondering looking for deal. The only problem is that everyone  already uses Craig’s List for this. And Craig’s List allows people to post for free.That said, it is nice to be able to see garage sale locations on a google map.  Data in Craig’s List often doesn’t easily facilitate this. From what I can tell, GSN doesn’t list any items for sale or prices–just the location and hours. To me that’s an obvious opportunity for improvement.Will this catch on? I kinda doubt it–CL is already a widely used and pretty decent tool.Rating:
