TeamSnap looks good, but is useless
Service May 18th, 2007TeamSnap.com is a new startup from Portland based Sparkplug. It’s basically a web based manager for people who want to manage their sports teams. The website looks very polished and professional. The thing that bothers me is the fact that not alot of people are going to be using this. We all know that Sports and Computers don’t mix, but you never know. They plan on charging $6.95 and $9.95 a month for premium memberships when beta is over. They’ll probably be making more money off ads than their subscriptions. I’m going to go ahead and say that they have a chance of surviving, given that they cut the membership fees.
Oh, almost forgot- they have some totally faked testimonials on their site. They should be expecting several lawsuits within the coming weeks.

Teamsnap looks good but is slow and not free. A better site with the same qualities is mySportsplanner.com. It’s free, fast and a lot of teams are using it. I use it for 1 year now and I’ve heard a lot of positive comments!

I would strongly recommend teamlobby.com. Basic package is free. Premium package costs $2.50 per month. Both packages are awesome!
